Purpose of TLQS
Trilogy at La Quinta Community Services (TLQS), was organized by Shea Homes (the developer of Trilogy), as a California nonprofit public benefit corporation in November 2002. The purpose of TLQS is to promote the common good and general welfare of the community through community enhancements and civic betterments. In accordance with Internal Revenue Service rules, the term community refers to Trilogy at La Quinta and the City of La Quinta.
Shea Homes served as the TLQS sole member from the time of its formation until June 30, 2011 when Trilogy at La Quinta Maintenance Association (TLQMA), the Trilogy Homeowner’s Association, became the sole member of TLQS.
TLQS Board Meetings
The Board will meet at least once quarterly and the meeting time and agenda will be posted for community review. Meetings are open to the TLQMA membership except Executive Sessions. *Note-Executive Sessions are not open to the public due to the confidential nature of executive sessions (per Civil Code).
The primary source of funds managed by TLQS is the enhancement fee of 1/2 of one percent of a home’s selling price that is collected at escrow when a home within the community undergoes an ownership transfer.
TLQS accomplishes its purpose by providing grant funding to Trilogy organizational and civic not-for-profit groups. The criteria and information on requesting grant funding can be found under the TLQS Organization Documents button.
