Three Lions Promotions regrets to announce that Salar Gholami has withdrawn from the main event of “Back in Business” due to a suspected injury. Ryan Rozicki (12-0-0, 12KOs) will now face former Canadian cruiserweight champion and Commonwealth title challenger Sylvester “Sly” Louis (8-6-0, 4KOs) of Montreal, Quebec.

“We want to thank Sly for taking this bout on such short notice.”- states Managing Director, Daniel Otter. “As to why he [Salar] will not be fighting has yet to be confirmed, but he is out.”- Furthered Otter.

“I’m excited to share the ring with a vet like Sly but nothings changed to me, I’m ready for the challenge.”- Explained Rozicki

“All the hype of Rozicki yah sure, but come next week, I’m taking the belt back home with me.”- Said Sylvera Louis

Over the last several years, Louis has fought an incredible roster of boxers, including two bouts with leading bridgerweight contender Oscar Rivas. Up at heavyweight, he has defeated two Canadian champions in Dillon Carman and Eric Martel Bahoeli. This showdown will be a title defence for Rozicki’s WBA NABA Canadian Cruiserweight title. Despite taking the fight on short notice, Louis will no doubt be one of Rozicki’s toughest tests to date.

Antonio Napolitano (5-0, 3 KOs) of St. Catharines, Ont will take on Winnipeg’s Codey Hanna (7-5, 5KO) in an 8 round fight at a catch weight of 172lbs, putting it just 3lbs under the light heavyweight threshold. The 172 lbs weight limit could create problems for either fighter, Codey’s last bout being at the 200 lbs mark and Antonio weighing in under 165 lbs for his last outing.

Napolitano’s 3LP team member and Fellow Ontarian from Orangeville, Jake Daoust (1-0) will face Stuart Twardzik(1-0, 1 KO) of Saskatoon, SK in a 6 round affair which is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Local Vancouver talent will be showcased, with both Jacob George and Scott Woodward making their pro debuts against each other.

Also Mohamed Zawadi of Barrie Ontario will be making his highly anticipated pro debut.

“It is very important to build boxing back up in Canada after this pandemic and having a handful of pro debuts is exactly what’s needed.” explained Otter.

Both the local commission and the WBC sanctioning body are eager for boxing to return.

“After a great deal of safety planning and preparation, we are excited to see Pro Boxing return to BC with a strong showing for its first major event scheduled for Vancouver in April of 2021.” Kelly Gilday, BC athletics commissioner

This will be a closed-door event with no fans.
